Hey, I'm Liam
Project manager. Parent. Expat living in Toronto, Canada.
A few years ago, I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Canada wasn’t in our long-range plan. Just like many international relocations, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far larger.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar processes, new routines, fresh expectations. Routine tasks seemed more complex than anticipated.
The Adjustment Period
Culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of hands-on learning came first. Yet gradually routines took shape. We found places that fit us, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt steady.
Why I Built PurePinePath
Most online information was either big-picture relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was lacking was a genuine, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to bridge that gap — practical advice drawn from real life in Canada.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site IS:
- Hands-on insights drawn from life in Canada
- Centered on family life and day-to-day realities
- Updated whenever something truly changes
This site ISN'T:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- Not a sponsored review site
- Not just a generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our stay in Canada goes on, and the learning journey continues as well. As long as the information remains helpful, I’ll keep recording what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Toronto or anywhere in Canada, don't hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Liam
